November 2020 Update

  • Dear Parents,

We hope your family is doing well. Your children’s safety and education continue to be of paramount concern for us. Whether your child is in person or remote learning, the district has continued to be prepared for your child’s education during this unique time.  The technology of distance learning and/or packets will allow us to continue to provide instruction for as long as the current situation exists.  The distance learning will include any accommodations as set forth in your child’s individual accommodation plan (IAP) under Section 504.  If your child is receiving dyslexia instruction, it will continue through distance synchronous learning. Your child’s case manager and/or teacher will communicate with you either by telephone or email to check on your child’s progress and offer assistance as needed.

As always, we will continue to work collaboratively with you to meet your child’s educational needs under Section 504.

    Stay well,

    Wendy Gandy, GISD 504/Dyslexia Coordinator
