Todd Gibson became the Granbury ISD career and tehnical education director in July 2021.
Gibson was previously a Granbury High School engineering teacher (2013-2021). He has been in the GISD CTE department for over ten years and has served as the secondary Project Lead the Way coordinator for the district since 2015.
He began his career in education at Granbury Middle School in 2006 as a math teacher and coach. When GISD adopted the PLTW program for STEM education in 2010, he piloted the program at GMS.
Gibson moved to Granbury High School in 2013 to teach upper-level engineering courses and lead the F1 in Schools competition. Under his leadership, the program has won four national championships and competed in the World Finals in Austin (2013), Abu Dhabi (2014 and 2019), Singapore (2015), and Malaysia (2017).
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree from the University of Houston.
