Chad Zschiesche has been head coach for the Granbury Pirate football team since 2016.
Zschiesche was the offensive coordinator for Mansfield Summit High School before moving to Byron Nelson High School spring in the same role to follow his mentor, Coach Travis Pride. At Summit, he helped the Jaquars reach the playoffs in five of the past six seasons, with the team finishing 2015 with a 10-2 record overall while ranking among the top ten teams in the state.
The head coach began his career at GHS in 2001 before moving to Hico, where he was offensive coordinator and head baseball coach from 2002-2006. He then spent three years at Wichita Falls High School coaching offensive linemen and powerlifters.
A native of Plainview, Zschiesche holds a Bachelor of Science in both exercise/sports studies and biology from Tarleton State University, where he later earned a master’s degree in physical education.
