    Technical Theatre 1
    Students will be introduced to all aspects of backstage and production. Students will learn principles of design in lighting, staging, sound, film,costumes, makeup, props and set.
     
    Technical Theater 2/3/4
    Students will gain hands-on experience in the technical aspects of theatre including: theater safety, building scenery and props, costumes, makeup, lighting, sound, rigging, and stage crew responsibilities. The students will actively participate in creating scenery, props, lighting, and sound for all productions.
     
    Theater Arts 1
    Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of theatre and stage performance including theatre history, pantomime, improvisation, vocal production, character analysis, as well as the technical elements of theatre including, scenic, lighting, sound and costume design. The students will gain experience in performing before an audience.   
     
    Theater Arts 2
    Building on skills learned in Theater Arts 1, students will continue to develop proficiency in acting and production skills, and will learn to methodically conduct character and script analyses as they apply to performing and theatrical design.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in at least one after-school production. 
     
    Theater Arts 3
    Performance is the focus of this course, supported by an in-depth study of theatrical styles, script and character analyses, and significant playwrights and their work.  Students are required to participate/perform in Dessert Bar Theatre, an evening performance, and they are required to audition for mainstage productions at GHS. 
     
    Theater Arts 4
    Students are provided an in-depth look at all aspects of theatrical production, emphasizing directing, script and character analyses, and critical evaluation as well as theatrical career exploration.  Performance is also a major focus of this course. Students are required to participate/perform in Dessert Bar Theatre, and are required to audition for mainstage productions at GHS.
