Ben Holmes is in his 3rd year with Granbury ISD. Prior to coming to Granbury, Mr. Holmes served as the Band Director at Glen Rose JH for 5 years. He is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Mr. Holmes was a member of the Baylor Symphonic Band, Campus Orchestra, Trombone Choir, Marching Band, Chamber Program, and the Courtside Players. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia - Music Fraternity.
 
Mr. Holmes oversees the GMS Band Program, directs the Honors Band, assists with the Symphonic Band, codirects the Concert Band, and is the instructor of all beginning band brass classes. 
 
Mr. Holmes lives in Granbury with his wife Hannah and German Wirehaired Pointer - Mabel. He enjoys playing with the Granbury Jazz Orchestra and the Brazos Chamber Orchestra in his free time.
