Meet Mrs. Moore
My name is Holli Moore and I am so glad to be at Oak Woods School. I am married to a wonderful man named Mike. I am very blessed to have such a great husband. We have two amazing kiddos and one very crazy dog.
I love my two precious children. My little girl is Mamie and she is 12, and my little boy is Maximus and he is 8 years old. They are so much fun and keep me very busy!
I grew up in Graham, Texas and graduated from Graham High School in 1994. After high school I went to Tarleton State University and received my degree in interdisciplinary studies in 1997. Upon graduation I interviewed and got a job teaching first grade at Emma Roberson Elementary. I taught first grade for three years, and also worked on my master's degree at the same time. I decided after three years I wanted experience with different aged kids so I went to "the old" GMS and taught 8th grade language arts for one year, and then AMS was built so I went there to teach 7th grade language arts. This is now my 17th year as a counselor and my tenth year here at Oak Woods.
In my spare time I like to play with my kiddos, and hang out with my husband. I also love to shop, but I must admit I shop more for my son and daughter than I do for myself now. I love to read mystery and psychological thriller books and also magazines about decorating and I love to knit (even though I only know how to knit scarves).
