I graduated with honors from Granbury High School in 1998 and then went on to attend Texas A&M University where I majored in Early Childhood Education.
I loved college, and enjoyed being a part of several student organizations. I graduated from Texas A&M in December 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
I have several teaching certifications:
Pre-K through Sixth Grade
Special Education
ESL
Reading
I am also qualified to teach Gifted and Talented students.
I moved back to Granbury after graduation and spent a semester tutoring at an elementary school in town and I also worked for Sylvan Learning Center. I taught first grade for one year, but discovered that my best "fit" was in a third grade classroom here at Mambrino.
I am a fourth generation teacher, and I am proud to be serving in this amazing profession where I strive to touch/influence the lives of children! This school year will be my eleventh year to teach. I taught third grade for six years, and this is my fourth year in a Kindergarten classroom. I find that I learn more each year, and am more excited today than I was in my first year. The children are phenomenal and I believe that if they have fun learning, they will become lifelong learners!
The Mambrino staff is like a family to me now, and I feel blessed to have such a caring group of professionals to work with each day!
