Hello, I'm Ms. Schweizer, and I'm delighted you've chosen to learn a little about me. I'll give you a run down of the basics. I was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas, and decided to become a teacher when I was in seventh grade. Both of my parents had chosen education as a career, and after Honors English with Mrs. Elaine Richter at Cleburne Jr. High, I knew that's what I would also do. In highschool, my favorite class was English, and my favorite elective was French. I worked as hard as I could and went on to attend Tarleton State University, where I was an English major with an Education minor. I have a BA in English, with graduate hours in reading development and reading problems diagnosis. I LOVE anything dealing with reading, writing, or linguistics, and halfway through my career, decided to try and teach high school ! I'm so, so glad that I did !With the help of God's grace, I wound up right here, and I love it. Granbury kids, parents, and GISD people are the most awesome people I have ever met, and I plan to be here for as long as I can.My family and friends are everything to me, and I have a wonderful daughter named Zoë who will be in 11th grade this year. I'm so excited for her ! She didn't fall far from the apple tree, and loves to read, learn, and wants to work in child psychology some day.I love reading new novels that have just come out, being the best mom I can be, and of course, teaching !
