TEA awards Granbury ISD with tenth straight A rating for Financial Integrity and third straight perfect score

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released preliminary Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) scores for the 2024–25 school year, and Granbury ISD has once again earned the highest distinction.

Granbury ISD received an A rating for Superior Achievement along with a perfect district score of 100 — the highest recognition a Texas school district can achieve for financial accountability. This marks the tenth consecutive year GISD has earned a Superior Achievement rating and the third consecutive year with a perfect score.

The state's school financial accountability rating system, known as the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), ensures that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and that they improve these practices. The system is designed to encourage Texas public schools to better manage their financial resources to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional purposes.
