Rick Norman, Brenda Donahoo Burenheide named coming home king and queen from GHS Class of 1975

Granbury ISD and GHS Exes Association will recognize Rick Norman and Brenda Donahoo Burenheide at the 2025 homecoming game as the Coming Home King and Queen from the Granbury High School Class of 1975. The Pirates will take on Birdville on Friday, September 12 at Pirate Stadium. Homecoming information is available by visiting granburyisd.org/homecoming.

RICK NORMAN

Rick was born in Granbury General Hospital in late 1956. He attended Granbury schools all 12 years. He played football, basketball, tennis, track, and was a captain of the football team. His senior year, he won district in tennis playing doubles. In high school Rick was a class officer for 3 years and voted “class favorite” as a Senior.

Rick worked most of his career at Norman Lumber Company but later spent 11 years in the I.T. Department at the City of Granbury. He finished his career with 6 years at the North Central Texas Council of Governments in Arlington.

Rick has been married to his beautiful wife,Vicky, for 47 years. He has 2 sons, Jeff and Cody, grandson, Brayden, and brother, Ron.

Rick is proud to be a Christian with Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

 

BRENDA DONAHOO BURENHEIDE

Brenda Donahoo Burenheide was born and raised in Granbury. She is the daughter of Jo the late Ollie Donahoo. Her father served on the Granbury ISD Board of Trustees for 18 years and City Council for 10 years.

Brenda was an active member of the Granbury High School band and a majorette for four years.

She has been married to Dan Burenheide for 35 years. They have two children, Jodie Dickson and Richard Burenheide, both graduates of Granbury High School, and five grandchildren. She and her husband have been members of Granbury First United Methodist Church for 60 years.

Brenda is recently retired from a local insurance office after a 37-year career. She is known for her humble heart and loyal spirit, and is a loving and devoted “Mom” and “Nana.”
