EECU Customer Care Awards presented to Oak Woods School

Granbury ISD’s EECU Customer Care Awards were presented to Oak Woods School during monthly campus visits with the Board of Trustees and district administrators on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Laney Collins and Miriam Delaney were presented with the EECU Customer Care Awards, a recognition award given to deserving employees. At the presentation, Oak Woods Principal Chelsey Gibson praised Laney and Miriam for their dedication to the district, campus, and to the students.

Mrs. Gibson said the following about Laney Collins, an Instruction and Intervention Specialist:

“What does Laney Collins not do? There is only one of her and 33 teachers, and she supports them all. She goes above and beyond for students and staff. She serves beyond her expected duties to promote a positive morale overall. She lends a listening ear when needed, she is the keeper of all things curriculum, when she doesn't know an answer, we know she’s going to find it, and she is a great encourager. Laney always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude. THANK YOU, Laney, for being dependable, uplifting, and just an overall good teammate!”

Mrs. Gibson said the following about Miriam Delaney, a GISD Substitute:

“Miriam Delaney is the Queen of Subs! She is practical, reliable, and loyal service. As a long-time substitute on our campus, she consistently steps in with a calm, helpful spirit, and a true commitment to our students and staff. Her dependability and willingness to support wherever she is needed make a tremendous difference each day. We are grateful for her steady presence and the care she shows our school.”

The district thanks EECU for their partnership and for the gifts presented to Customer Care winners.
