Granbury ISD Announces Retirements of Two Campus Principals

Granbury ISD has announced that two longtime campus leaders will retire at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year. Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy Kellie Lambert and Granbury Middle School Principal Julie Rohleder have both shared their plans to retire from education after decades of service to students.

Lambert has been part of the Granbury ISD family for 23 years and has dedicated 32 years to the field of education. During her 22 years at Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy, she has helped guide the district’s early childhood programs and played a key role in shaping the first school experiences for generations of students.

Rohleder has served in public education for nearly 30 years, including the past six years in Granbury ISD as principal of both Granbury Middle School and Baccus Elementary. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on helping students succeed while fostering strong relationships with staff and families to support a positive school culture.

“Mrs. Lambert and Mrs. Rohleder have each dedicated their careers to serving students and supporting their school communities,” said Granbury ISD Superintendent Dr. Courtney Morawski. “Their leadership, care for students, and commitment to education have made a lasting impact on Granbury ISD. We are grateful for their service and wish them the very best in their well-earned retirements.”

Granbury ISD will begin the process of selecting the next principals for Granbury Middle School and Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy. The district will share updates with campus families as the search moves forward.
