Laura Williams and Melissa McWhorter were presented with the EECU Customer Care Awards, an award given to deserving employees. At the presentation, GMS Principal Julie Rohleder praised Laura and Melissa for their dedication to the district, campus, and to the students.

Mrs. Rohleder said the following about Laura Williams:

“Mrs. Williams is the recipient of our Customer Care Award! With 34 years in education, she continues to go above and beyond for her students each and every day. She works hard to create engaging science activities that challenge students and get their brains thinking. Her dedication, passion for teaching, and commitment to supporting every student truly make a difference in our school community. We are so grateful for the care and enthusiasm she brings to the classroom each day!”

Mrs. Rohleder said the following about Melissa McWhorter:

“Mrs. McWhorter has earned the Customer Care Award because she consistently goes above and beyond for both students and staff. As one of our dedicated custodians, she takes great pride in keeping our campus clean, welcoming, and presentable each day.
