Granbury ISD has named Kellie Pollock as the next principal of Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy. Following board approval, Pollock will assume her new role beginning with the 2026–27 school year.
Pollock succeeds Kellie Lambert, who announced her retirement at the end of the 2025–26 school year, and brings more than two decades of experience in education—all at Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy. She has served as assistant principal since 2022, where she has played a key role in strengthening campus systems, supporting instructional leadership, and building a positive culture centered on student success.
“Kellie Pollock is a dedicated leader who understands the importance of early childhood education and the lasting impact it has on our students,” said Dr. Courtney Morawski, superintendent of Granbury ISD. “Her experience, her commitment to students and staff, and her deep roots within Emma Roberson make her the right person to lead this campus forward.”
Throughout her career in Granbury ISD, Pollock has served in multiple roles, including assistant principal, media specialist/librarian and kindergarten teacher. Her work has consistently focused on fostering early literacy, supporting innovative instructional practices, and building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.
“I’m truly honored and beyond excited to serve as principal of Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy. This campus means so much to me, it’s my home, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a special community. I know the relationships I have built with our students, staff, and families will continue to grow and strengthen as we work side by side to help every child begin their educational journey with confidence, joy, and success.”
Pollock holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Tarleton State University and earned her principal certification from Lamar University.
She and her family have strong ties to the campus and community. Pollock is the proud parent of five children—all of whom attended Emma Roberson—and has four grandchildren, with a fifth on the way. Her family includes Shane and Jamie Moore (Jaslene, Lane, and Lily), Jacob and Ella Wheeler (expecting), Hudson and Cierra Morris (Sage), Campbell Morris, and Miller Pollock.
