Granbury ISD is proud to announce that the head of the Texas Education Agency, Commissioner of Education Mike Morath, will visit the district on Wednesday, May 6. The visit coincides with the Commissioner’s scheduled time at the Region 11 Education Service Center. Out of all districts in the region, Granbury ISD was selected as the one district he will visit during his time in North Texas.
Commissioner Morath and his team will spend time at Granbury High School, where they will see firsthand the work taking place in classrooms and the learning experiences driving student success. The visit will highlight the dedication of Granbury ISD students and staff, as well as the district’s continued focus on high-quality instruction and continuous improvement.
“We are honored to welcome Commissioner Morath and TEA leadership to Granbury ISD,” said Dr. Courtney Morawski, Superintendent of Schools. “This opportunity reflects the meaningful work happening across our district. Our students and staff continue to demonstrate what is possible through a shared commitment to character, excellence, and opportunity!”
Granbury ISD remains focused on creating meaningful learning opportunities for all students while supporting educators in delivering impactful instruction each day. The Commissioner’s visit provides an opportunity to showcase the positive momentum across the district and the work being done to prepare students for success beyond the classroom.
