Summer 2026 Acceleration Courses
Registration for Summer School Acceleration (current GISD students only) is April 28th - April 30th. Registration will be located in the cafeteria at GHS from 4:30PM - 6:00PM. Incoming freshmen are allowed to choose from: World Geography, World History, Spanish I, Spanish II, Art I, and P.E.. Upper classmen will discuss the best course of action with counselors to determine the appropriate courses.
- Students and parents/guardians must attend one of the evening enrollment sessions to: speak with a counselor, complete online payment, and finalize course enrollment.
- Enrollment Sessions:
- Tuesday, April 28th (4:30 PM - 6:00 PM)
- Wednesday, April 29th (4:30 PM - 6:00 PM)
- Thursday, April 30th (4:30 PM - 6:00 PM)
- Cost (online payments only):
- $50 per semester credit, $100 for full credit
- $25 per semester credit, $50 for full credit (Economically Disadvantaged)
- $0 for McKinney-Vento students
- Deadline for all accelerated courses: June 25th (midnight)
- All accelerated courses may be completed remotely; however, the district will not provide technology for off-campus use. Students may enroll in up to two full credits. All credits must be completed by the established deadline, and no refunds will be issued.
