In accordance with state law, the District has completed all requirements for designation as an innovation district.

Exemptions from portions of Chapter 37 on The Granbury ISD District of Innovation Plan adopted December 16, 2024, are now void as per House Bill 6, passed by the 89th Legislature, stating a District may not exempt itself from any part of Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code.
