About Senate Bill 12 (SB12)
In accordance with Senate Bill 12, Texas public school districts are required to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on instructional materials and other educational content. SB12 ensures transparency in our instructional materials selection process and allows our community to be actively involved in shaping the educational experience for our students. SB12 also directs that parents are given priority during public comment at Board Meetings and may speak at the beginning of the public comment period of the meeting.
