Texas EMS
Texas EMS provides an annual membership of $10 for GISD employees.
GISD provides all employees with membership in CareFlite. Texas EMS is a separate service that provides ambulance and medical flight services.
Your Texas EMS membership includes AirEvac medical flight services for emergency calls that originate in Hood County.
If you reside in Hood County, you may have Texas EMS membership through your water department. Please contact your provider to determine if this membership is included as part of your water bill.
The membership subscription benefit program pays out of pocket expenses for the uninsured portion or any charges for medically necessary emergency ambulance transportation. A subscription covers all individuals who reside in a household and are listed on the application. An enrollment form must be completed and submitted for processing, with your check or money order made payable to Texas Emergency Medical Services. You will not be able to subscribe at the time of services are rendered.
You must subscribe each calendar year to maintain your Texas EMS membership.
