I was born, raised, and molded in San Saba, TX where I graduated high school then moved to Lubbock, TX to attend Texas Tech University.  I earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports sciences with a minor in education and graduated with honors in 2005.  I then began my teaching and coaching career in Lubbock ISD at Wilson Middle School where I taught PE, Algebra, and was the campus athletic coordinator for 6 years.  I next moved up the street to Coronado High School, in which Wilson MS feeds, where I was an AVID instructor and coached football, basketball, and eventually became the head track coach.  During this time, I earned a master's degree in Education Administration from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview.  Before moving to Granbury, I taught one year of 7th grade math, PE, and coached HS football and track in Littlefield, TX.  I am married to Desiree Shahan, who teaches and coaches volleyball at Granbury High School and we have a 3 yr old daughter named Stella as well as a 1 year old boy, Nolan, whom keep us coaching at home as well. I am now the post-secondary coordinator at the high school and look forward to working with seniors to devise a plan for after graduation.  We are lucky and blessed to get to live in the greatest state in the world and I love anything that is a part of the Lone Star.  I love anything done outdoors, and especially that involves water such as boating, swimming, wakesurfing, and river kayaking.  I also love my Red Raiders, Cowboys, Rangers, Mavs, and of course, Pirates!!
