Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Science in Biology from UTA Certified Pharmacy Technician

Mrs. Cari Morisette, CPhT

I have been a certified pharmacy technician for 15 years. This is my 7th year teaching and my 3rd year at Granbury High School. In my years of teaching, I have taught Health Science Theory/Clinicals, Medical Billing & Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacology, Forensic Science, Principles of Health Science and Medical Terminology. I never know what they will ask me to teach!

Education & Work history: I am the 4th generation in my family to graduate from college. I grew up in St. Charles, Illinois (near Chicago). I completed my first 3 years of college at Northern Illinois University. Then, I transferred to the University of Texas at Arlington where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I worked full-time as a pharmacy tech at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth from 2005-2018. While working at Harris, I also worked as a pharmacy tech at Pecan Discount Drug from 2007-2009. I started teaching at North Side High School in Fort Worth during the 2015-2016 school year. I earned my teaching certificate from ECAP.

Family: My husband of 16 years works for Revolver Brewing. I have two daughters. Cadence is in 10th grade and Sierra is in 7th grade. I have two dogs, Maddy & Terra. Our two parakeets, Kiko & Kyla had four babies this summer (Storm, Tsunami, Rain, and Tornado), so now we have SIX birds!

Fun Facts: I love Texas, but I miss Illinois weather. I miss cold winters and snow! My favorite animal is a polar bear, probably because they remind me of winter. I am obsessed with school supplies. In my spare time I enjoy painting. I also like baking and cooking.

Licenses & Certifications: AHA CPR instructor, Health Science 6-12, ESL, GT, CDL–Bus Driver, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Certified Pharmacy Technician, Stop the Bleed
