Coronavirus (COVID-19) Task Force

  • Under Construction.  Updates coming.

Purpose

  • In response to the developing COVID-19 outbreak in the Texas and abroad, Granbury ISD has convened a District COVID-19 Task Force facilitated by Sharon Williams and includes the GISD central administration (Dr. Jeremy Glenn, Ron Holmgreen, Dobie Williams), Randy Leach, Jeff Meador, campus nurses, department directors and campus principals. In addition, each GISD campus will develop a COVID-19 task force with similar functions facilitated by each campus nurse and principal.

The GISD COVID-19 Task Force is charged with preparing for and managing any possible campus impacts related to the coronavirus outbreak. The task force is engaged in frequent planning and discussion to share important updates, review the district’s pandemic protocols, and provide guidance and communication to members of Granbury ISD campus community and extended community. Members are in frequent contact with federal, state and local government and public health agencies for the most current information, including the latest guidelines and recommendations issued for Texas public schools.

The task force’s central focus is on protecting the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and extended school community; maintaining GISD’s commitment to education and service; and preserving the district’s academic, business and administrative operations.
