Hello! My name is Shauna Newsom. I am very excited to be a Special Education teacher here at Baccus Elementary! This will be my 15th year of teaching. I have taught Pre K, Kindergarten, and First Grade. I love working with the younger students, and teaching them to read. It is my passion.  I am also a Dyslexia certified teacher. The principles I have learned there help in all areas of reading. 

I have been married to my husband, Todd, for 26 years. He is a high school teacher in Burleson ISD. My oldest son, Jonah, will be a senior in college this year. He is studying finance. My youngest son, Titus, will be a sophomore in college studying graphic design. I have three dogs; Belle, Kacy, and Axel. 

I am very excited about being your child's teacher this year!
