Please review the guidelines page in its entirety before submitting a transfer request.

Parents/guardians may apply for their student(s) to transfer from their current residence-zoned campus to another campus in the district.

In order for Granbury ISD to allocate campus personnel appropriately, transfer applications (whether in-district or out-of-district) will only be accepted within the designated application windows below.

A separate transfer request form is required for each student.

Approved transfers are only valid for one school year; a new transfer request must be submitted each school year. 

Granbury ISD campuses accept transfers on a staff and space availability basis.

The District evaluates space and availability in each grade level and/or program.

If the evaluation concludes that staffing and/or classroom conditions cannot accommodate transfer students, the District cannot approve the transfer request.

District transportation is not provided for transfer students.

Transfer Window 1 is for current Granbury ISD students.

Transfer Window 1 begins March 20, 2023, and ends May 1, 2023.

A current Granbury ISD student is one who is enrolled during the 2022-23 school year. 

Once the Transfer Application and Transfer Agreement have been completed, please submit the documents to the main office of the school you are requesting to transfer.

Transfer status notifications will be sent to parents/guardians via email starting May 25, 2023.

Transfer Window 2 is for students who are new to Granbury ISD.  

Transfer Window 2 begins May 29, 2023, and ends June 23, 2023.  

Students new to Granbury ISD are students who are not currently enrolled for the 2022-23 school year but are enrolling for the 2023-24 school year. 

Incoming kindergarten students are considered new students.

Once the Transfer Application and Transfer Agreement have been completed, please submit the documents to the main office of the school you are requesting to transfer.

Transfer status notifications will be sent to parents/guardians via email starting June 30, 2023.
