    School Cafeteria Safety Protocols

    Granbury ISD Child Nutrition Procedures

    2020-21 School Year Beginning August 12

    School Cafeteria Safety Protocols:

    • "Grab and go" breakfast with students eating in cafeteria or classrooms
    • Lunches in cafeterias
    • Split lunch periods for grades 6-12 at secondary campuses to limit number of students in cafeterias
    • Masks or face coverings required for all students, teachers, and child nutrition staff except while eating
    • Social distancing in cafeteria encouraged
    • Handwashing emphasized and hand sanitizer provided
    • Students should not share food, drink, or personal devices
    • Cafeterias regularly cleaned and sanitized including high-touch surfaces such as tables, chairs, and serving areas
    • Students can bring sack lunches or lunchboxes
    • No outside meal delivery or food for class parties
    • Parents may check students out for off-campus lunch

    Granbury High School will hold a virtual orientation for incoming freshman and new students to the high school. This will be held via Voom on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 5pm. A recording of the orientation will be available on Saturday following the orientation.

  • Back to School Assistance

    Skyward Online Registration for Returning Granbury ISD Students

    Granbury ISD will provide Back to School assistance on Thurs., August 6 from 3-7pm at the GISD Administration Building (217 N. Jones Street).  This includes Skyward Online Registration and free and reduced meal applications.  Masks or face coverings are required. Assistance will be available in both English and Spanish.

    Granbury ISD proporcionará asistencia de regreso a clases el jueves 6 de agosto de 3 a 7 pm en el Edificio de Administración de GISD (217 N. Jones Street).   • GHS Parking Permits

    Granbury High School students planning on parking on GHS property this school year MUST obtain a parking permit. 

    If you have already purchased a parking permit and need to pick up your hanger, or if you need to purchase a parking permit for the 2020-2021 school year: 

    Mon., August 10 – 9:30am-12pm and 2-4:30pm 

    You will have the opportunity to pick up your 2020-2021 hanger if you have already purchased your permit. You will need to bring your valid driver’s license and updated insurance to pick up your hanger. 

    You may also purchase a permit at this time.  If you are needing to purchase a permit, please bring your valid driver’s license, updated insurance, and COMPLETED packet from the GHS website at www.granburyisd.org/ghsparking

    Please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

    School Bus Safety Protocols

    Granbury ISD Bus Transportation Procedures

    School Bus Safety Protocols:

    • Parents encouraged to drop off and pick up students at schools in order to minimize the number of bus riders
    • Masks or face coverings required for all students, bus drivers, and bus attendants
    • Social distancing encouraged at bus stops and while loading and unloading bus
    • Hand sanitizer provided upon loading bus
    • Students will be seated starting from back seats then toward the front
    • Siblings and family members may sit together
    • Regular safety procedures apply while bus is in motion
    • Students should not share food, drink, or personal devices
    • Morning unloading will be from front to back
    • Buses regularly cleaned and sanitized including high-touch surfaces such as seats, steering wheels, knobs, and handrails
    • No evening activity bus until further notice

  • Neighborhood Assistance

    Mobile Learning Center

    Granbury ISD Mobile Learning Center bus will be in neighborhoods to provide Back to School assistance for students and families. Assistance will include Skyward Online Registration and free and reduced meal applications. Masks or face coverings are required, and only one parent or guardian will be permitted on the bus at a time. Assistance will be available in both English and Spanish.

    Dates and times are:

    - Monday, August 3 from 11am-5pm– Oak Trail Shores, Ruth’s Place Outreach Center (2723 Maplewood Drive)
    - Tuesday, August 4 from 8am-12pm and 2-5pm – Rancho Brazos Acton UMC Community Center (3701 Sundown Trail)
