The Lady Pirate Softball recently held a Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Night, raising $1,000 to help fight childhood cancer.
On Monday, March 22, the entire team traveled to Cook’s Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Wearing gold t-shirts, the team presented the donation check and stood together in solidarity.
The team’s generous spirit towards the charity was initially inspired by the life story of senior softball player Lilli Williams.
