Granbury Optimist Club honored two Granbury High School seniors as Young Texan and Tex-Anne at the club breakfast on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. 

The students honored were Krizln Van Patten and Tristen Pool.

Throughout the school year, the Granbury Optimist Club honors students who are "maintaining a high level of scholastic performance, participating in civic and church activities, community involvement and extracurricular activities," according to the organization.

The District thanks the many community organizations such as the Granbury Optimist Club who invest in our students and provide recognition opportunities, such as Young Texan and Tex-Anne.

Extracurricular Activities: Presenting ongoing oncological modeling research for the Texas regional and state fairs, involvement in two computational modeling projects for the New Mexico Supercomputing Challenge, state advisory committee selection 

Honors/Awards: 1st in Texas A&M Nuclear Power Institute Clean SMARTS Finale, New Mexico Supercomputing Challenge Finalist, New Mexico Supercomputing Challenge Machine Learning Award Recipient

Community Service: Cleburne Public Library Volunteer, Tucumcari Historical Museum Volunteer
