National Principals Month

October 2019 is designated as National Principals Month in honor of the work of campus administrators across the state and nation.

With resolutions adopted by both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives and proclamations issued by numerous state governors, the national recognition is an initiative of the National Association of Elementary School Principals and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

“The most important part of ensuring that young Texans can fulfill the potential of their bright futures is providing our children with a rigorous and well-rounded education,” stated the proclamation from Governor Greg Abbott. “Principals are a vital part of our children’s educations as they set the academic tone for their schools by working collaboratively with teachers to build high academic standards, set performance goals, and utilize best practices for achieving these goals.”
