PIRATES TAKE ON ARLINGTON HEIGHTS IN BI-DISTRICT BASEBALL

The Pirate Baseball team from Granbury High School competed in the Class 5A baseball bi-district playoffs on May 3-4, 2019.
Fort Worth Arlington Heights took the bi-district series with back-to-back wins (2-1, 5-3) at games played at Boyd High School and Everman High School. The Yellow Jackets advanced to face Lake Dallas in the area round.
The boys finished the regular season tied for third with Burleson behind district champion Burleson Centennial and runner-up Mansfield Legacy. Burleson won a seeding game 8-4 on April 27 at The Depot at Cleburne Station to determine the third and fourth-place teams.
The Pirate playoff team members are Jacob Bates, Eric Bonham, Taylor Calcote, Ethan Current, Ryan Felton, Cordel Gibson, Gage Halvorson, David Hinojosa, Jacob Johnson, Clayton Jones, Trevor Jones, Colton Lucas, Brock Mueller, Kaleb Shankles, Trevor St. Don, Tyler Sudderth, Easton Turnage, Andrew Walters, and Matthew Walters.
Brad Eppler is assisted by Matt Holly, Danny Guidry, John Paul Tyler, and athletic trainer Andy Rankin.
