GEF SCHOLAR ATHLETES ELIGIBLE FOR BIG SCHOLARSHIP

Twenty-four Granbury High School seniors have been named GEF Scholar Athletes by the Granbury ISD Education Foundation and are now eligible to apply for a $10,000 scholarship sponsored by Tom and Susan Durant.

The students were selected not only for their involvement in GHS athletics but also for their academic achievements. They also represent a cross-section of high school athletic teams.
“We are grateful for the generous donations made by Mr. and Mrs. Durant,” commented GEF president Stacy Mitchell. The Durants own a number of car dealerships and are also involved in Thoroughbred horse racing.
All of the students were invited to submit scholarship applications in the spring. Winner of the scholarship will be announced at the high school’s Senior Awards Night on Thursday, May 16.
