RETIRED TEACHERS AWARD SCHOLARSHIP TO GHS GRAD, INCOMING GISD TEACHER
May 25, 2021
The Hood County Retired School Personnel Association awarded a scholarship to a Granbury High School graduate – and incoming Granbury ISD teacher – during a small ceremony on May 24, 2021, at the GISD Administration Building.
Payton Holmgreen received the $1,000 Wanda Crossland Undergraduate Scholarship. She is a 2017 GHS graduate who recently received a bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University.
Holmgreen will begin working for GISD later this year, as a physical education teacher at Acton Elementary School and GHS swim assistant coach.
On hand from HCRSPA were Wanda Crossland, Betty Kirkhart, and Dr. Gail Hill.
