PIRATES BOAST BROKEN RECORDS IN FINAL HOME FOOTBALL GAME
November 1, 2021
Three Granbury Pirates broke school records during the final home football game versus Fort Worth Arlington Heights on October 29, 2021, at Pirate Stadium.
With a final score of 77-28, the Pirates easily commanded the visiting Yellow Jackets in the District 3-5A contest.
Quarterback Austin Jinkerson become the all-time leading passer with 3,927 yards surpassing Ryan Suitt’s 3,887 yards set in 2012. Likewise, Zane “Crash” Davis set the record for receptions at 108, inching out the previous mark of 107 set by Zach McCreight in 2019.
Gus Hamlin scored 16 touchdown passes so far this season. The previous record holder was Nick Doughty with 11 touchdown receptions in 2013.
All three are seniors at Granbury High School.
The Pirates finish out the 2021 regular season on the road at Saginaw on Friday, November 5.
