PIRATES MAKE ALL-DISTRICT FOOTBALL TEAM
November 15, 2021
Sixteen Granbury Pirates received District 3-5A honors for the 2021 football season.
Leading the team was senior Gus Hamlin as Utility Player of the Year.
“We would like to congratulate our young men who were recognized by the coaches in our district,” commented head coach Chad Zschiesche.
Others on the all-district list were:
- First Team: Crash Davis, receiver; Drew Henderson, kicker; Austin Jinkerson, quarterback; Jadon Rogers, running back
- Second Team: James Byrd, defensive back; Casen Gentry, punter; Dustin Jones, defensive end; Dereck Lacy, defensive back; Parker Lutgen, center; Brayden Olthoff, defensive tackle
- Honorable Mention: Tate Baker, inside linebacker; Brooks Pearce, defensive end; Israel Ramirez, guard; Alejandro Robles, tackle; Luke Stettler, inside linebacker
Academic All-District honors went to Ryan Baker, Jayton Glenn, Gus Hamlin, Walt Hartman, Parker Lutgen, Preston Lutgen, Alex Mark, Skyler Mitchell, Chris Peguero, and Tyler Rodgers.
In addition to Granbury, Division I District 3-5A is composed of Abilene Cooper, Azle, Brewer, Crowley, Fort Worth Arlington Heights, Northwest, and Saginaw.
