The Granbury High School Pirate golf team is headed to the regional tournament after placing second at the District 5-5A tournament on March 28-29, 2022, at Cross Timbers Golf Course in Azle.

The Purple varsity squad placed second at the two-day tourney.  Tanner Larsen earned the title of district champion after placing first individually.

Also in the tournament was the Gold varsity, which placed fourth, along with three individuals competing as medalists.  

Scores from the district tournament were: 

  • Purple (666, 2nd):  Tanner Larsen (80-75, 1st), Connor Garcia (83-86=169), Corban White (84-86=170), Miles Hopson (83-89=172), Carson Skahan (86-79=175)
  • Gold (718, 4th):  Bryson Sparks (84-85=169), William Lillagore (89-85=174), Graham Moses (89-96=185), Colten Smith (93-97=191), Nathan Lambert (93-101=194)
  • Medalists:  True Hughes (97-93=190), Ethan Swaim (95-105=200), Wade Harmon (104-110=214)

The Region I-5A competition is set for April 18-19 at The Rawls Golf Course in Lubbock.
