PIRATES AND LADY PIRATES NAMED TO ALL-DISTRICT SOCCER TEAMS

Several Granbury High School soccer players were named to All-District teams following the 2021-22 season.

For the Lady Pirates, senior Caylin Damron was named Co-Goalkeeper of the Year and led the group of ten from GHS.

Other picks for the Granbury girls were:

  • Co-Goalkeeper of the Year: Caylin Damron (senior)
  • First Team: Maddie Black (junior), midfielder; Emery Kirby (sophomore), forward
  • Second Team: Laura Burch (senior), midfielder; Riley Morris (sophomore), defender
  • Honorable Mention: Claire Burdett (sophomore), Dominique Callahan (sophomore), Elise Mikulskis (freshman), Kenzie Prock (junior), Madison Rogers (junior)

Seven Pirates qualified for the District 5-5A squads:

  • First Team: Juan Carlos Gamez (senior), midfielder; Dylan Livingston (junior), midfielder
  • Second Team: Justin Massey, utility player
  • Honorable Mention: Weston Cantrell (sophomore), Drew Henderson (junior), Jaime Martinez (senior), Gabe Moore (junior)

In addition to Granbury, District 5-5A is composed of Aledo, Azle, Brewer, Wichita Falls, and Wichita Falls Rider.
