Granbury High School golfer Tanner Larsen earned place at the state contest during the Region I-5A golf tournament on April 18-19, at The Rawls Course in Lubbock.

Larsen placed fourth to advance to state as an individual medalist.

The regional team also included Connor Garcia, Miles Hopson, Carson Skahan, and Corban White.

The team shot 339 and 334 over the two-day tourney for a combined team score of 673 to finish in sixth place. Individual results were:  Larsen (83-71=154), Garcia (81-90=171), Skahan (88-85=173), Hopson (87-95=182), White (95-88=183).

On March 28-29 in Azle, the varsity squad qualified for regionals after placing second at the district tourney.  Larsen was district champion after placing first individually. 

The Class 5A state competition is set for May 9-10 at White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown.
