CHOIR STUDENTS EXCEL AT STATE SOLO AND ENSEMBLE CONTEST

Deanna Rupp Choir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center excelled at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest on May 30, 2015, at the University of Texas at Austin.
 
Deanna Rupp capped off her high school singing career, being named an Outstanding Soloist after earning a Division I superior rating on her solo. Rupp, who graduated in May, will be studying vocal performance at Texas Christian University.  She is pictured at left.
 
In addition to Rupp, soloists earning the top mark with a Division I superior rating were Mikhail Bishop, Nash Buescher, Brynn Deger, Kellan Jones, Kiersten Mathis, Erin Pavelick, Tifton Puckett, Joshua Smith, Statia Sokol, Mikayla Vandergriff, Mercy Whites, and Zach Zagrocki.
 
Receiving Division II excellent ratings were soloists Mikhail Bishop, April Cabrera, Chloe Cobler, Cierra Curtis, Kaylynn Fehrer, Karleigh Hesser, Dakota Medlin, Caroline Pollard, Taunton Puckett, Skylar Schreiber, and Grace Sokol.
 
Four choir ensembles also competed:

  • Madrigal – Superior Rating: Mikhail Bishop, Brynn Deger, Christopher Lancaster, Colton Lewis, Audrey Montgomery, Bailey Occhipinti, Skylar Schreiber, Grace Sokol, Remington Watson, Corbin Weeks
  • Madrigal – Excellent Rating: Chloe Cobler, Kenna Collins, Daniel Hendrix, Karleigh Hesser, Audrey Murfin, Reece Rhodes, Daniel Shelton Wesley Tredway, Mikayla Vandergriff, Savannah Wark,
