GHS SENIORS HONORED FOR AWARDS, SCHOLARSHIPS

Granbury High School recognized graduating seniors for awards and scholarships during a ceremony on May 22, 2014. While still counting, the GHS students have received $6.4 million in scholarship offers.
Rachael Rodgers and Riley Summer will represent the senior class as valedictorian and salutatorian. Others in the top ten of the graduating class are (in order): Ryan Garland, Lily Tunnell, Guy Wright, Justin Kochis, Thomas Tigner, Morgan Northcutt, Chandler Chiappe, Courtney Howze. The top students are pictured above.
Rodgers, daughter of Rick and Jeanne Rodgers, has a grade point average of 5.071, while Summer, the son of Scott and Nancy Summer, has a grade point average of 5.029.
Awards and scholarships were announced for all graduating seniors. This included academic and athletic achievements as well as professional certifications.
In addition to university-awarded scholarships, representatives of the Granbury ISD Education Foundation and numerous local organizations took part in the ceremony to congratulate the students. The organizations included businesses, service clubs, churches, charitable groups, booster clubs, and the military.
Graduation exercises will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 29 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
