CHOIR STUDENTS EXCEL AT STATE SOLO AND ENSEMBLE CONTEST

Choir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center excelled at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest on May 6, 2014, at the University of Texas at Austin.
 
Soloists earning the top mark with a Division I superior rating were Baylee Davis, Kellan Jones, Ciera Kade, Kiersten Mathis, Taunton Puckett, Deanna Rupp, Nick Sandelin, and Mercy Whites.
 
Choir Receiving Division II excellent ratings were soloists Mandy Brenning, Brynn Deger, Chris Dunn, Makenzie Kane, Kelly Kollmann, Dakota Medlin, Joel Reid, Katie Siegler, Sofia Taylor, Adrian White, and Zach Zagrocki.
 
Six choir groups also received excellent ratings:
 
  • Madrigal: Nicholas Barrett, Hailey Hart, Kellan Jones, Alondra Martinez, Dakota Medlin, Kendon Parker, Nick Sandelin, Madison Seymore, Katelyn Singer, Caitlen Whitfill
  • Madrigal: Clarissa Jackson, Ciera Kade, Brooke Konyha, Kaitlyn Meinershagen, Cody Mullican, Nikolai Press, Joel Reid, Deanna Rupp, Sofia Taylor, Hannah West
  • Freshman Madrigal: Kelli Davis, Karleigh Hesser, Chandra Horn-Lutsko, Christopher Lancaster, Jaci Largent, Bailey Occhipinti, Skylar Schreiber, Daniel Shelton, Joshua Smith, Jacob Wheeler
  • Freshman Madrigal: Daniel Adams, Mikkail Bishop, Bailey Bitner, Clayton Brown, Autumn Herndon, Audrey Montgomery, Audrey Murfin, Reese Rhodes, Grace Sokol, Corbin Weeks
