Choir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center excelled at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest on May 6, 2014, at the University of Texas at Austin.
Soloists earning the top mark with a Division I superior rating were Baylee Davis, Kellan Jones, Ciera Kade, Kiersten Mathis, Taunton Puckett, Deanna Rupp, Nick Sandelin, and Mercy Whites.

- Madrigal: Clarissa Jackson, Ciera Kade, Brooke Konyha, Kaitlyn Meinershagen, Cody Mullican, Nikolai Press, Joel Reid, Deanna Rupp, Sofia Taylor, Hannah West
- Freshman Madrigal: Kelli Davis, Karleigh Hesser, Chandra Horn-Lutsko, Christopher Lancaster, Jaci Largent, Bailey Occhipinti, Skylar Schreiber, Daniel Shelton, Joshua Smith, Jacob Wheeler
