KENDRA FISHER TO LEAD GRANBURY CHOIR PROGRAM

Kendra Fisher Kendra Fisher is the new head choir director at Granbury High School after her appointment was made official by the Granbury ISD Board of Trustees during its regular meeting on June 20, 2016.
 
“Kendra is an amazing choir director and comes highly recommended by state association leaders as well as members of our community,” commented GHS principal Jeremy Ross.  “We look forward to her leading our outstanding Granbury program and taking it to new heights of excellence.”
 
Taking the helm of the successful Granbury choral program, the new GHS director comes from Crowley High School, where she has been the choir director since 2010.  She previously taught at H.F. Stevens Middle School in Crowley ISD from 2004-2010.
 
She is no stranger to Granbury, having begun her career at Granbury Middle School in 2002.
 
Fisher holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Dallas Baptist University and is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and the Texas Music Adjudicators Association.  She also has led children’s choirs, Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
 
She succeeds Joy Hope, who recently retired after 24 years at the high school and nine years as the head director.
