GMS THEATER STUDENTS READY FOR ONE ACT PLAY

Granbury Middle School theater students are preparing for One Act Play competition.

 

The troupe will perform The Giver, a dramatic play adapted by Eric Coble from the Newbery Award-winning book by Lois Lowry about a dystopian society.

 

Competition will be on Friday, April 20 at Aledo High School.  A performance for parents and the community will be Tuesday, April 24 at 6:00 P.M. 

 

Cast members are Lille Davis, Jason Durham, Zander Durham, Lu Johns-De La Garza, Kenlee Hubble, Kaitlyn Lee, Georgia Myers, Brittany Proctor, Levi Reese, Jorge Rodriguez, Aslynn Ruby, Kenzie Smith, and Gracie Whitton.  Alternates are Damon Fransen, Dustin Jones, and Connor Kinser.

 

The stage manager is Dylan Baldridge.  Other crew members are:  Wyatt Bowers, lights; Valerie Lamont, props; Dez Rios, sound; Katie Wren, costumes.

 

Directing the play is GMS theater teacher Caitlan Leblo.

 

AMS students will compete separately on Wednesday, April 18 at Weatherford High School.
