SPRING MUSICALS THRILL AUDIENCES

Spring musicals at Granbury ISD campuses thrilled audiences at Granbury Middle School, Brawner Intermediate School, and Mambrino School.

 

Seussical Jr.

 

Granbury Middle School presented Seussical the Musical Jr. in February.

 

In the cast were:  Brennan Fisher (Cat in the Hat); Makai Scott (Jojo); Caleb Fisher (Horton the Elephant); Lillie Davis (Gertrude McFuzz); Lu Johns-De La Garza (Mayzie La Bird); Georgia Myers (Sour Kangaroo); Emery Kirby (Young Kangaroo); Jason Durham, Zander Durham, and Jorge Rodriguez (Wickersham Brothers); Reese Holmgreen, Kaylee Kirkland, Averie Coffman, Katie Wren, Kenzie Smith, and Kaitlyn Lee (Bird Girls); Cameron Moore (Mr. Mayor); Macie Boyd (Mrs. Mayor); Alexander Vargas (Grinch); Alan Davila (Yertle the Turtle); Blaze Greenwalt (Vlad Valdikoff).

 

Rounding out the ensemble were Bailee Burenhide, Hailey Hensley, Gillian Irish, Alexis Marez, Kayzee Martin, Victoria Rodriguez, Bailey Stone, Macie White, and Gracie Whitton.

 

The stage manager was Gracie Whitton assisted by Kaitlyn Smith.  Other crew members are:  lights – Wyatt Bowers and Ryan Pedigo; sound – Samantha Fisher, Hannah Adkins, and Maci Smith; props – Krizin Van Patten, Kyndall Ecord, Hannah Williams, and Valeria Sandoval; hair/makeup – Emily Pyle, Dylan Baldridge, Ava Williamson, Trinity Benitez, Brittany Proctor, and Jedi Zapata; costumes – Caileigh Underwood and Madison Butler; stage crew – Valerie Lamont and Dez Rios.

 

Directing the musical was GMS theater teacher Caitlan Leblo with music direction by choir director Jeremy Bowen.

 

James and the Giant Peach Jr.

 

In March, Brawner Intermediate School put James and the Giant Peach Jr. on stage.

 

The cast included Randi Owens, Ella Aubrey, Emma Hill, Aubrey Ward, Addison Treppa, Cameron Ward, Evan Baldridge, Ryleigh McCann, Amie Rhea Green, Callie Fawley, Addysyn Spencer, Shelby Parks, Katelyn Hibbitt, Emily Sullivan, Kaylee Jackson, Kyleigh Ledesma, Evie Watson, Ari Deming, Maly Trestain, Jackson Folger, Emma Lanham, David Patmore, Robert Benitez, Miguel Dias Caro, Harmony Burns, Trace Coker, Trevin Coker, Kylie Owens, Remi Chastain, Aaren Oresdson, Mason Ward, Skyann Turner, Presley Thomas, Jazlynn Torres, Jasmynn Torres, Julio Bautista, Addi Batey, and Olivia Jones.

 

Crew members were Liberty Ensminger, Olivia Richards, Alyssa Contreras, Presley Carnes, Isabella Bautista, Lacee Luker, Claire George, Tamea Busby-Hervey, Ann Marie Maycheck, Jace Coffman, Brissia Martinez, Abril Solis, Esmerelda Rios, Alex Contreras, Harlee Fowles, Miranda Juarez, Val Caro, Emma Espinoza, and Melanie Yanez.

 

Directing the production was music teacher Angela McGuyer with assistance from several parents and staff members.

 

The Jungle Book KIDS

 

At Mambrino School, students presented Disney’s The Jungle Books KIDS.

 

The cast included Danielle Ballez, Chris Bevills, Kailey Brooks-Mayeux, Zachary Cole, Emily Cote, Alexander Daugherty, Sarah Drake, Ethan Gentry, Londyn Green-Wright, Wyatt Greene, Kennedy Griffin, Carson Hallmark, Callie Hampton, Brayden Hart, Jayla Hayes, Jolie Hayes, Carley Hill, Brooklyn Japp, Ariel Jimenez, Rachel Jones, Ryder LaBarbera, Carter Mager, Lacey McLemore, Jayden Mobley, McKenna Moreno, Graham Ramos, Emily Richmond, Samantha Ross, Jaxon Sherrill, Shade Slayton, Ellie Weeks, Addison Weiss, Nakia Williams, Brooklyn Yelverton, and Mrs. Jackson.

 

In the Jungle Ensemble were Aubrey Adre, Jerry Baxter, Nicholas Bevills, Wesley Bridges, Carson Hallmark, Thompson Hyde-Lawson, London Jennings, Carter Mager, Brayan Mireles, and Ryan Ramos.

 

Crew members were Ava Adkins, Hadlee Bryan, Harleigh Collins, Jaycee Griffin, Emma Hernandez, Meredith Jones, Kaira Krause, Nash McWIlliams, Gabriel Saldivar, Micah Vackers, and Avery Young.

Directing the production were Melissa Pratt and Sharon Daughtery with assistance from several parents and staff members.

 

Previous school musicals were Singin’ in the Rain at Acton Middle School in November and Les Misérables at Granbury High School in January.
