“INTO THE WOODS JR.” THRILLS AMS AUDIENCES

Acton Middle School theater students presented Into the Woods Jr. on November 15-17, 2019.
The production featured all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. According to Music Theatre International, “The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.”
Narrators were Rylee Henthorn, Baylor Oliver, Savannah Solsbery, and Ashley Veron. Cast members were Ryan Brackney, Kaylee Connor, Jace Cruz, Stormy Evans, Aidan Fisher, Fayth Fry, Emory Gilbert, Kennedy Griffin, Aiden Gutierrez, Jayla Hayes, Jolie Hayes, Aiden Lemens, Parker McCully, Mackenzie Melvin, Wade Molinari, Anna Quinn, Gage Ramos, Jaxon Sherrill, Sophie Valadez, and Darcy Welch.
Rounding out the ensemble were Jessie Bell, Raegan Boling, Asia Brannan, Carlee Jo Burnfield, Eli Cashion, Brady Cornelison, Haven Gallegos, Trevor Jackson, Michael Kracy, Emma Lanham, Sage Reid, and Abbey Topley.
Crew members were: lights – Hayden Jacobs, Regan Tibbs; sound – Madeline Jenkins, Nathan Wilson; costumes – Lillie Cornwall, Alissa Haney; props – Addison Dunn, Alexie Patrick; hair and makeup – Brooke Wilson; stage crew – Grace Cason, Corilea Hill, Aiden Jordan, Wesley Vassar.
Directing the musical was AMS theater teacher Caitlan Leblo.
