March 5, 2021 

Granbury High School percussionists were showcased during the annual GISD Night of Percussion concert on March 4, 2021, in the GHS Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.  

The musical program featured “Seeing the World” by Matt Moore, “A La Nanigo” by Mitchell Peters, “Syzygy” by Mathew Curley, “Angels of the Apocalypse” by David Gillingham, and “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons and arranged by Tahlequah Kirk. 

GHS ensemble members include Olivia Barone, Brooklyn Bennett, Sully Brown, Mateo Douglas, Karly Edwards, Carolina Garcia, Jordan Garrett-Erwin, Nathan Gibson, Adam Gomez, Katy Hall, Ty Hintz, Hannah Humphrey, Lucas Hyde, Jade Kisner, Issac Maldonado, Reagan Neal, Palma Norwood, Jake Pepper, Josh Quintero, and Sarah Wood.  Accompanying the group were Brett Ross on bass guitar and Abby Stone on synthesizer. 

The students are under the direction of Tahlequah Kirk.  

A concert featuring middle school students will be scheduled for later in the spring.
