MIDDLE SCHOOLS TO PREVIEW ONE ACT PLAYS

Acton Middle School and Granbury Middle School theater students will preview their One Act Plays ahead of competitions scheduled for April 2022.
AMS will hold a “Night of One Acts” on Wednesday, April 20 at 6:00 P.M. The event will feature both the competition show Little Women as well as a second production entitled Perfect.
For Little Women, the cast includes Grace Blevins, Hudson Blevins, Paislee Cogburn, Brylea Hyde, Clayton Lankford, Reagan Lloyd, Tucker Morrison, Baylor Oliver, Shelby Parks, Gunner Phillips, and Ruth Power. Alternates are Jori Collins, Scarlett Farner, and Abby Johnson. The tech crew is composed of stage manager Laney Matthews, lights/costumes/props manager Maddie Neal, and sound manager Aidan Windham.
Perfect is led by student directors Tucker Morrison and Shelby Parks. Cast members are Unique Baker, Sarah Beauchamp, Riley Breeden, Carlee Burnfield, Jori Collins, Scarlett Farner, Kynlee Greene, Abby Johnson, McCartney Mahan, Nina Sailer, Riley Sams, Sariah Taylor, Reagan Welch, and Caylee Williams. On the tech crew are Kate Moore on lights, Aidan Windham on sound, and Maddie Neal on costumes and props.
For their One Act Play, GMS students will perform scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. A preview performance is set for Friday, April 22 at 2:30 P.M.
Cast and crew members are Sophia Alderson, Ella Aubrey, Evan Baldridge, Addali Batey, Kenna Black, Charlotte Bryant, Deklyn Caudle, Remi Chastain, Trevin Coker, Aiden Edwards, Mia Huerta, Kyleigh Ledesma, Jessica Lettunich, Lila Manning, Kaden Mays, Christine Myrick, Raelyn O'Dell, Brooklynn Palmer, Harlie Pool, Terry Robason, Addysyn Spencer, Brooklynn Sutherland, Presley Thomas, and Skyann Turner.
AMS will compete on April 22 at Cleburne High School, while the competition for GMS is April 23 at Brewer High School.
Theater directors for the two troupes are Caitlan Leblo at AMS and Justin Barbee at GMS.
