OAK WOODS STUDENTS PRESENT “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST” MUSICAL

Oak Woods School fourth and fifth graders presented the magical musical Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR on April 12, 2022.

According to Music Theatre International, the classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Breyer Schenewark and Zak Krantz led the cast as Belle and the Beast.

Others in the cast were Reese Clinkscale, Rachel Dueck, Lynnen Freeman, Joe Gastring, Adalyn Gibson, Izzy Griffith, Anzley Howard, Holly Keller, Lennon Mahan, Abi McNeal, Amehlia Mendez, Brynlee Morrison, Taylor Neal, Jacob O’Neal, Sofia Ramirez, McKinley Slaton, and Ryan Valdez.

Ensemble members were Liam Aguilar, Joley Beale, Preslee Boehme, London Broadhurst, Jesse Brush, Maddi Bull, Ari Daugherty, Avery Denny, Kallyn Edwards, Gracie Gill, Karsyn Heath, Raegan Idlett, Rileigh Janes, Harper Langdon, Tatum Lybarger, Kealie Lynch, Jordyn Marburger, Shelby McMullen, Edgar Olea, Kayli Parrish, Wrenn Pierce, Anshi Prasai, Lilly Robinson, Abby Winterton, and Ariana Young.

Directing the production was music teacher Cami Gilbert.  The production team included:  Riley Stembridge, script master; Collin Young and Peyton Crain, set coordinators; Corbin Wilson, stage manager; Aubrey Owens, prop master; Taytum Pinksa, sound and director’s assistant.
