GENTRY TAKES HELM OF REGIONAL CTE GROUP

Granbury ISD career and technical education director Judy Gentry is the new president of a regional CTE educators association.
 
The Career and Technical Educators of North Texas serves the Dallas-Fort Worth area covered by the Regions 10 and 11 education service centers.
 
The regional group is a division of the Career and Technology Association of Texas, which serves as the educators’ primary link to the Texas Legislature and provides regular updates on legislation and policymakers regarding CTE programs and workforce training to prepare students for the high-tech, high-skills careers of the 21st century. CTAT is affiliated with the Association of Technical Education at the national level.
 
Gentry was named the Granbury CTE director in 2009 after having worked at Granbury High School since 1997. She holds a Master of Education in educational administration from Tarleton State University and previously earned a Bachelor of Science in secondary education at Oklahoma Christian University. She is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators and Delta Kappa Gamma.
