Seventh graders at Granbury Middle School explored robotics during a class project on May 20, 2015.

The career explorations and emerging technology classes used creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and problem solving will building robotic devices in groups.

“The goal is for students to think outside of the box,” stated teacher Valerie Brau. “Use what they learn and the resources available to be innovative so that they can create the skills to be prepared for a successful career of the future.”

The hands-on activity was developed by the Texas 4-H state technology winners in cooperation with Texas A&M University.

Student Jesse Prater commented, “This is a great starting point for learning robotics. It was fun!”
