Over thirty advanced students in Granbury High School classes for audio video production, graphic design, and animation toured the production facilities of CRM Studios, AT&T’s Interactive Virtual Learning Studios, Fox Sports Southwest, and Mercury Studios in Los Colinas on May 7, 2014.
Mercury Studios – formerly The Studios at Las Colinas – is a 72,000 square foot facility, with three sound stages that are up to 14,500 square feet. The iconic building once hosted movies and television shows like Robocop, JFK, Silkwood, Prison Break, and Walker Texas Ranger. The studios are now serving as the flagship facility for conservative talk show host Glenn Beck’s television network.
Students had a chance to talk with industry professionals including post-production directors, animators, sound designers, broadcast engineers, writers, and producers.
