The second annual “Galley on the Go” returned to Granbury Square Plaza on May 12, 2022, with Granbury High School culinary and business marketing students collaborating to host the event.
The pop-up restaurant featured barbecue plates prepared by GHS culinary students at the lunch event held just off the courthouse square. Served was brisket, beans, cole slaw, and the fixings along with banana pudding and iced tea. The beans received a first-place prize at the High School BBQ state championship last month in Round Rock.
“Galley on the Go” highlights the talents of seniors in both pathways, which are part of the GHS career and technical education program. The students have successfully completed four years in their classes.

Business students working in The Anchor school store are charged with organizing and publicizing the event as well as tracking reservations. Profit from the event will go towards the purchase of new equipment for each instructional pathway.
Students organized the meal and event under the leadership of GHS culinary teacher Brianne Langdon and GHS business teacher Kylee Peterson.
